Since 2017 I am employed at the department of Educational Technology at the Graz University of Technology. I started out as the “only” designer, but as I could demonstrate the value of design the design department of this organizational unit grew from 1 to 5 designers within 2 years. Now I am leading this team of 5 designers.
I covered a variety of projects, also many of which I was the leading user experience designer. Meanwhile, we have two trainees (Lehrlinge) that I value a lot and I am lucky enough to teach them about design with weekly challenges that they are able to demonstrate in their own design portfolios.
In this position, I do not only cover UX design projects, but also the design lead position for marketing and print design.
In order to make some products of Educational Technology more accessible and interesting to the younger audience, I came up with a completely new marketing strategy for many digital products of the department in order to start a rethinking process, not only seen from the target audience but also within the company structure.
Several marketing strategies have already proven to be very successful and are now executed, valued and understood by the whole team.
